If you are an English Language Assistant in an école primaire, lycée or the IUFM and you would like to spend a few more months in France, this may be the right job for you.

NOW RECRUITING FOR THE SPRING 2010 (MARCH 11th to JUNE 18th)!! 8)
**INCLUDING FOR EASTER BREAK (April 10 - May 2 depending on your Zone)**
For easter we are looking for Anglophones who speak French to work as Daily Life Counselors.

MALE CANDIDATES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!! :D

American Village Camps are linguistic immersion camps for French children, ages 8 to 17 years old. Our primary goal is to aid and encourage French children to communicate in English, not only in the classroom, but through various activities, culture and sports, in an environment that is both secure and fun. We are not a language school, but rather a linguistic immersion camp. As such, we emphasize education through cultural exchange.

We seek creative, dynamic and energetic men and women from 20 to 35 years old with a high school diploma. Applicants should also be capable of teaching English to non-native speakers. This said, a TEFL certification is not a requirement. Since English is the official language at our camps, a strong knowledge of French is not necessary. Our sites are located throughout France, from Burgundy to the Pyrenees.

Counselors are hired for one, two or three month periods.

The ideal American Village candidate should:
* be a native English-speaker or have knowledge of/interest in North American culture, customs and language
* be capable of teaching English to non-native speakers
* be outgoing, energetic and creative
* be prepared to work long days with children

Applicants should be prepared to teach songs, organize various arts and crafts, participate in skits and play sports. Musicians are very welcome to apply, and in an effort to balance our teams, we strongly encourage male applicants.

We have a variety of posts available starting from March 11th, for a period of one, two or three months.

Benefits include:
* Salary: 770€ to 880€ per month
* Full room and board
* Two free nights at a hotel in Paris (at the beginning and at the end of your contract)
* Work visas for North American, Australian and New Zealand citizens (without returning to your home country)

For English Assistants:
- If you are in a collège or lycée, you may be able to work from May until July.
- And if you are at an école primaire, you may be able to work from the end of June until the end of August.
