Twitter/Social Media Lesson

I attached my lesson plan and then the handout on a Twitter conference that I gave them. While all of my students are obsessed with Facebook, they haven't heard much about other Social Networking sites like Twitter. The fill in the blank text was too difficult for my lower level classes and was lost on them, but the rest of the lesson went well. The higher level classes liked learning about Twitter, etc. And if you do the writing prompts at the end, this lesson definitely fills up the hour ... you will probably even run out of time.

Thanks so much for uploading this. I've been freaking out trying to find something for my class tomorrow. Who are completely unmotivated and uninterested in every other lesson i've done so far, but hopefully this will interest them as i know some of them at least are on facebook.

hey thanks for this! i was completely unmotivated to come up with a new lesson so i used this and it worked great! for the lower levels i'm going to replace the gap reading words with multiple choice prepositions and articles so that i can still get them to read out loud. now just crossing my fingers that my poorly behaved classes will respond to this too!

Thanks so much for putting this together, this lesson totally rules! One of the best hits this year with the kids; can't wait to try it out on more classes. It was pretty funny though that no one in the class had head of Twitter, they were interested in it because I told them it was popular in the US:)
